Abstract
The present invention relates to an extract fraction containing polymeric condensed tannins with a weight-average molecular weight of 45,000 or more derived from Ephedra extract or from ephedrine alkaloids-free Ephedra Herb extract (EFE), a method for producing the same, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the extract fraction. The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention is useful as an anticancer drug, an antimetastatic drug, and an anti-influenza virus drug.
